South-East Asia covers an area of about 4,100,000 square kilometers containing the following countries: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Brunei: Brunei is located in south-east Asia on the northern coast of Borneo almost completely surrounded by Malaysia. It occupies a total area of 5,770 sq km of which 5,270 sq km is land. Brunei has a tropical climate, generally hot, humid and rainy. The official name of this country is Negara Brunei Darussalam and in short, Brunei.

Burma: Burma is located in south-east Asia, bordering the Bay of Bengal between Bangladesh and Thailand. The country occupies a total of 678,500 sq km of which 657,740 sq km is land. The country has 1,930 km of coastline. It has a 5,876 km long land border, sharing 193 km with Bangladesh, 2,185 km with China, 1,463 km with India, 235 km with Laos and 1,800 km with Thailand. Burma is known fully as Union of Burma and in short, Burma. Burma is a military regime. The capital is Rangoon.

Cambodia: Cambodia is located in south-east Asia bordering the Gulf of Thailand, between Thailand and Vietnam. It occupies a total area of 181,040 sq km of which 176,520 sq km is on land. The capital is Phnom Penh.

Indonesia: Indonesia is an archipelago of 13,500 islands located in south-east Asia between Malaysia and Australia. It occupies a total area of 1,919,400 sq km of which 1,826,440 sq km is on land. The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta.

Laos: Laos is located in south-east Asia between Vietnam and Thailand. The country occupies a total area of 236,800 sq km of which 230,800 sq km is on land. Laos is a communist state with the capital in Vientiane.

Malaysia: Malaysia occupies a total area of 329,750 sq km of which 328,550 sq km is on land. The country has 2,669 km of land boundaries and 4,675 km of coastline. The capital of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur.
 

Philippines: Philippines is located in south-east Asia between Indonesia and China. The country has a total area of 300,000 sq km, 298,170 sq km is on land and 36,289 km of coastline. Its capital is Manila.

Singapore: Singapore is located in south-east Asia at the southern tip of the Malaysian Peninsula, between Malaysia and Indonesia. It has a total area of 632.6 sq km of which 622.6 sq km is land. Its capital is Singapore.

Thailand: Thailand is located in south-east Asia bordering the Gulf of Thailand, between Burma and Cambodia. The country occupies a total area of 514,000 sq km of which 511,770 sq km is on land. Its capital is Bangkok.

Vietnam: Vietnam is located in south-east Asia bordering the South China Sea between Laos and Philippines. The country occupies a total area of 329,560 sq km of which 325,360 sq km is on land. The capital of Vietnam is Hanoi.
